Purpose
To set out and confirm the terms of engagement between Continuum Accounting Pty Ltd and you.
Objectives
To perform the services for you that you instruct.
We don't audit your work unless you instruct us to do so
We don't look for fraud or irregularities, illegal acts or errors although we will let you know if we do find these things
We do have reporting responsibilities with NOCLAR if appropriate.
The engagement starts when you ask us for our services and ends when you tell us.
The engagement is for work we agree that we will perform.
If you ask for additional work that we have not agree on this is out of scope work and will be charged separately.
Scope
Output
Any financial statements and income tax return or other financial reports we create for you for your use only.
We are under the CPA liability limited by a scheme approved under the professional standards legislations.
The CPA undertakes professional assurance reviews. We will ask your permission to use your files if requested.
You need to keep and provide us accurate financial records.
Safe harbour provisions may apply only if you provided all relevant taxation information.
We are bound by the privacy act 1988 and will keep all information confidential.
Obligations
We may use outsource providers. We will let you know if we do.
If we use an outsource provider liability stays with us unless there is a genuine reason such as fraud or other liability.
Outsourcing
Fees and billing
We charge our fees on an hourly basis.
Our fees will be disclosed in the full engagement letter we provide to you.
Our fees are subject to CPI.
We bill in 6-minute blocks.
We charge hourly and out of pocket.
We can provide an estimate of fees for you if you request.
Invoice terms are 14 days, interest will apply to late payments
We own all documents we have created until your invoice is paid.
If you stop using our services we will not release the documents we created until you have paid your invoice
Documents
You guarantee that you will pay us on time.
Guarantee
Once you have signed the engagement letter it will cover services immediately and into the future and you are agreeing to the terms and conditions.
